It is great having the NBA back. Firstly, it’s just nice having something exciting to watch. Baseball and soccer are fine, but neither offer the excitement that basketball provides. The games have also given us some great betting action. Our first NBA parlay didn’t quite turn out how we wanted due to the Washington Wizards. Still, two out of three correct is pretty good.
More importantly, you have to dust yourself off and try again. We were just going to waste our money on some other non-sense anyway so let’s get back at it instead.
August 1 has five games for us to choose from. For this NBA parlay, we have selected four wagers that provide a rewarding parlay.
Indiana Pacers (+188) vs. Philadelphia 76ers
We here at The Touchback are firm believers in the Philadelphia 76ers having bet on them to win the NBA Championship at +2000. FiveThirtyEight gives the Sixers a 68 percent win probability for this matchup mostly because no one knows if Victor Oladipo will play. Even if he does sit, take the Pacers here. You have two teams with the same record on a neutral court, but one is getting much better odds.
More importantly, the Indiana Pacers are 2-1 against Philadelphia this season and didn’t have Oladipo for any of those games. This is a great foundation to our NBA parlay. Also, the Pacers are optimistic that Oladipo will play, so there is that too.
New Orleans Pelicans vs. Los Angeles Clippers Total Points OVER 230 (+130)
259. 243. 263. The New Orleans Pelicans and LA Clippers have played three teams this season and those have been the combined scores. The unfamiliar surroundings make this wager risky, but both teams already have one game under their belts in the Orlando bubble and should come out firing.

Toronto Raptors (+149) vs. Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers basically locked up the number one seed in the Western Conference by beating the Clippers on Thursday. The Raptors have already proven they could beat the Lakers this season, although that term is used loosely. Meanwhile, this game has all the makings of one Los Angeles barfs up.
The NBA parlay bet for 8/2: $10 wins $154.94
I wouldn’t bet the full $10 on this NBA parlay. All of these results could realistically happen, but each one is shrouded in uncertainty. The one thing I like most about this NBA parlay bet is the fact all three of the games are played at roughly the same time. This means you won’t have to watch the other wagers hit if your first one fails.
