College football betting picks for week 8 North Carolina State
Even without their starting quarterback, NC State at +15 is an interesting play

After a brief hiatus, our college football betting picks are back for week 8. We went 2-1 way back in week 5 to move our record to 8-7 on the season, including a parlay hit in week 3. The Big 10 and Mountain West are in action for the first time this season which gives us a lot more games to choose from.

We are going with a mix of moneyline wagers and against the spread picks this time around. We will be parlaying our college football betting picks for week 8, but you are free to bet on individual games. At the end of the article you can find our wager and potential payout.

The Touchback’s college football betting picks for week 8

NC State (+15) at North Carolina (-110)

With NC State quarterback Devin Leary out for the next few weeks, this line is currently sitting at +15. The thing is, the Tar Heels haven’t look good all season with last week’s brutal loss to Florida State a sign that UNC may not be as good as advertised. The Wolfpack may not be able to win, but they should keep this one close even without their starting QB.

Middle Tennessee State (+150) at Rice

Rice hasn’t played a game this season while Middle Tennessee State is 1-5. However, Rice hasn’t had a winning season since 2014 and probably won’t be very good in 2020. With a lot more game time under their belts, the Blue Raiders should be able to take care of the Owls even if their record doesn’t make you confident.

Pitt (+10.5) vs. Notre Dame (-105)

This has all the makings of a slow, low-scoring affair with Notre Dame most likely winning by a touchdown. The Panthers have kept things close in their losses this season and the Notre Dame offense hasn’t looked convincing at all this season.

Maryland at Northwestern (+330)

Neither of these teams is particularly good but the unknown of Maryland’s offense is intriguing enough for me to take them at +330. Northwestern is dealing with some more opt outs and didn’t add much talent to a 3-9 squad from 2019. This is clearly the riskiest bet here, but the Terrapins do provide some value.

College football betting picks for week 8 – Parlay total: $10 to win $400.68

Our college football betting picks are rather volatile because there is a lot of uncertainty. We haven’t seen Rice or the Big 10 teams in action, so we don’t really know what to expect there. That being said, the upside of the bet makes it worthwhile.
