Tupac Shakur needs no introduction. You might be less familiar with Caravaggio, however. The Baroque painter was an amazing artist, well known hot head and constantly in trouble with the law. Basically, 400 years before Tupac, there was another pop culture figure going around acting in exactly the same manner.

Of course, there was no such thing as pop culture in the early 1600s. That’s not the point though. Caravaggio was a rockstar for his time and his rap sheet is very similar to Tupac’s. These two artists knew how to wild out. So much so, it is difficult to keep track of who did what.

As for Caravaggio, maybe he died from syphilis or maybe he died after being stabbed. A lot of people have theories, but his death also remains unsolved.

Tupac studied both poetry and ballet as a kid. While Caravaggio dabbled in slanderous poetry as an adult, not much is known about his childhood apart from the fact his parents died from the plague.

Caravaggio managed this impressive feat. The artist attacked a high-ranking knight (Not Suge mind you) only to find himself in prison once more. He would escape his jail cell, something Tupac never managed during his stays in prison.

This is perhaps what Caravaggio is most famous for. Originally, the dispute was thought to be about a game of tennis but historians now believe the painter was fighting with another man about a prostitute. While the reason why may be in dispute, it was clear that Caravaggio was aiming for the dick. He ended up killing the guy instead.
