Dan Bacon and The Modern Man aren’t a traditional dating scam. There are no hidden charges or ridiculous memberships that need to be canceled when you purchase his courses. But holy crap, there is something about this guy which is unsettling. Dude looks like a walking domestic violence mug shot. Constantly referring to his wife as “my woman” in videos only adds to that aura.

Anyway, Bacon has been doing his pickup artist schtick for some time now. He made quite a stir about five years ago when he encouraged men to bother women wearing headphones. Well known Hollywood idiot Jenny McCarthy was supportive of him. However, just about every other person in the world eviscerated this guy. L.V. Anderson of Slate had the most scything takedown.
At this point, he could have apologized, but that’s not what these lame pickup artists do. Instead, Bacon doubled down on his crappy advice which included creating a bunch of fake opinions and reviews, a fairly common trick among these losers.
But then something really odd happened made Dan Bacon and The Modern Man revealed his entire operation was scam.

With people destroying his cash cow, Dan Bacon and The Modern Man made an announcement designed for damage control but revealed the scam. The man who was having sex non-stop and could get any woman he wanted was engaged to be married. If you look at the photo above, you will see so many problems with this.
Firstly, Bacon claims his girlfriend proposed to him. Did she also buy herself an engagement ring? Everything about that photo makes it inherently clear that she didn’t ask for his hand in marriage It’s a complete lie.
But there is more to it than that. Every single piece of advice this tool has ever opined basically concludes men must take action in all matters involving women. Yet, here he is saying women are proposing to him like all the time. His explanation of the engagement cancels out his previously stated views on women.
Finally, it is pretty clear he is married to a Thai woman who he met in a Bangkok nightclub. Don’t believe me? I present to you exhibit A:
That is a Bangkok nightclub, and she is Thai. I don’t think she is a bar girl. But she’s also not some high society type. If you have ever been to Thailand, everything in the picture will look familiar to you. Picking her up didn’t require an expensive course or anything like that. Simply being a white guy in Thailand will land you a girlfriend or wife.
Having lived in Bangkok for nine years now and being married to a Thai woman, I know a thing or two about this. There is nothing wrong with it. In fact, my relationships with women here have been free from the usual games and drama you would experience elsewhere. It is refreshing.
However, everything about his engagement and relationship story are bullshit. He basically announced it at a time when his work was being called out for misogynistic nonsense. What’s more, Bacon didn’t even use his own advice. He just went to Thailand to find a wife. You don’t need an audio book to accomplish that. Buy a plane ticket.

The advice is bad
Marni Kinrys is pretty bad about talking a lot without saying anything of note. On the other hand, Bacon will talk a lot and spew out terrible advice. Look no further than his video “4 Reasons Why Women Pretend to Not Want Sex’. According to this, when women act like they don’t want to have sex with you, it’s all a game.
Uhh…what?
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Almost every article, video or piece of advice from Bacon makes the assumption that no matter what women say or do, they all want you. The key to unlocking this is buying The Modern Man audio books.
Come on, Dan. If it really was that easy, why did you go to Thailand to find your wife?

The money grab
At this point, Dan Bacon and The Modern Man are simply a passive cash grab. He hasn’t released any new books or programs in some time. He has put out less than 20 new videos in the past two years. His Facebook and Twitter went dark at the end of last year.
His articles rank highly for SEO terms which drive people to his products. There is also an army of affiliate marketers pimping his trash all over the internet. His YouTube channel still generates views. Bacon can kick his feet up, reap the benefits and launch his phony supplements business.
Oh, that’s right. Bacon launched Modern X, a company selling a bunch of pills claiming to improve your health. Of course, he has absolutely no experience, skills or knowledge that makes him suitable to be in charge of a supplements business.
Let’s be real, this guy doesn’t care about you. He just wants your money and will create any worthless product to get it.
