4 can’t miss 2022 NFL win-total bets

Tennessee Titans O/U 9.5

The Bet: Under (-140)

The Tennessee Titans won 12 games in 2021, but there were also a number of worrying signs. For starters, they won six contests by three points or fewer. Meanwhile, the offense performed about as well as a Geo Metro driving up a snow-covered hill. That’s not a compliment.

Ryan Tannehill performed poorly. When healthy, Derrick Henry wasn’t particularly efficient, something Bill Barnwell explains in this article. And the Titans traded away A.J. Brown. That together with a brutal schedule makes the under an attractive wager.

Cincinnati Bengals O/U 9.5

The Bet: Over (-110)

Despite winning ten games last season and seemingly improving their roster, a lot of people are down on Cincinnati. Barring a Joe Burrow injury, it’s hard to see the Bengals not reaching double digit wins this time around.

Los Angeles Chargers O/U 10

The Bet: Over (-110)

We were bullish on the Chargers before the offseason even began. And then they went out and brought in some excellent pieces via trade and free agency. Their schedule is also fairly favorable which should help them improve on last year’s win total.

Detroit Lions O/U 6.5

The Bet: Under (-115)

When looking at 2022 NFL win-total bets, it’s important to use common sense. For instance, how are the Lions winning more than six games this season? There is no satisfactory answer to that question. This team isn’t four wins better than what they put out on the field last year. Jared Goff is still the quarterback. The defense still has holes. Their schedule is soft, but there are plenty of better bad teams than Detroit.
