Oakland A’s Team President Dave Kaval, the fate of the team rests in your hands. I’d address this to John Fisher, but I don’t even know how to reach him since dude probably uses a TracFone.

There comes a time in our lives when we must choose between doing the easy, selfish thing and doing what’s right for the greater good, even though it may be difficult. Ultimately, what version of Knuckles do you want to be: the Doctor Robotnik henchman with no chance of beating Sonic or the guy who gets a cool Sega cartridge?

Look, I could appeal to your sense of decency and hope somewhere deep inside you lays a shred of good. But this is baseball we’re talking about. Instead, I want to pragmatically look at what your future holds in Las Vegas.

The Vegas desert is littered with individuals who outlived their usefulness. No, I’m not saying John Fisher will have you take a meeting outside of Beatty only to meet your end. What I am saying, though, is that your time as a member of Fisher’s incompetent syndicate will not be long for Vegas. He’s not going to keep you around since the penny-pinching owner can find someone for cheaper in a few years.

Baseball is supposed to be something you love, right? It’s something you dedicated your life to. In that case, which scenario sounds better:

Making a positive impact by saving one of the sport’s most storied franchises in a region you have called home for decades. Or selling your soul for the privilege of being fired by a cheap, clueless fool. Watch the video for the full message.
