I don’t want to dump on Arizona Stadium in this review. It is a perfectly acceptable college football venue. There are no real negatives. Seats are good, the facilities adequate and the design kind of cool. No dopey Oklahoma fans to contend with either.
However, there are no real positives about the Arizona Wildcats’ home. It’s definitely old and one of the Pac-12’s worst. Additionally, Tucson is pretty lame. Why anyone would choose to go to school here baffles me. The city is basically Reno without the gambling but somehow more trashy.
That doesn’t really matter inside Arizona Stadium, but once you leave, well, you’ll be hightailing it to Phoenix. Anyway, watching a game here is okay. There is sort of a hodge-podge feeling to it which is a byproduct of several renovations over the years, including removing a running track and rebuilding one end.
Arizona Stadium just lacks charm or anything interesting. It isn’t as bad as Fresno State Bulldog Stadium but it’s not even close to TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium. Fun fact, the South endzone is home to some of the most jail-like dorm rooms you’ll ever see.

Getting to Arizona Stadium is super easy. Just get off I-10 and head down Speedway or East 6th Street. You will find plenty of parking on both with independent lots charging around $20. Traffic can be problematic on the way out with the four-lane streets not really designed to handle stadium congestion.
Amenities are pretty good. There is not a lot of diversity when it comes to food options, but what’s on offer was fine. The stadium gets bonus points for having commemorative cups. If I can’t eat something out of a helmet, at least let me take a cup home.
Arizona Stadium review score: 6

Doing an Arizona Stadium review was really difficult. It is a place that generates overwhelming indifference. There is nothing that stands out, good or bad. It’s not a must visit venue, but there is no reason not to go. All things considered, Arizona Stadium is the brick-and-mortar embodiment of a shoulder shrug.
