Poor Dan Bacon. He has allegedly been doing his pick-up artist schtick since 2005. Despite this, the article we published in November of last year is now the second ranked search result for ‘Dan Bacon’ on Google. Ouch.
Let’s not pretend The Touchback is an important or highly-visited website. In the grand scheme of things, we are slightly better than total crap. However, being slightly better than total crap is all it took to beat out all the other dodgy websites, black-hat, affiliate marketing links and whatever else is out there about this beta cuck.

Dan Bacon’s hopeless cease and desist letter cites four areas where he believes I defamed him (Spoiler Alert, I did no such thing). We will get to that in a minute, but what is really damning are the statements he didn’t challenge.
There was no mention of that article calling his system, The Modern Man, a scam. He didn’t challenge me referring to his system as a passive cash grab. Bacon was totally cool with me using the word phony to describe his supplements business. I guess that means those claims are all true.

As I mentioned earlier, Bacon cited four parts of our article in his cease and desist letter for “unlawful defamation”. Let’s break down each one.
Here’s the thing, Bacon purposely hides dates on his blog and also refuses to reference real time in any of his posts. There are vague mentions, like X years or go, but nothing you can pin down. That’s because The Modern Man is a passive cash grab and putting a date on anything means he would have to constantly produce fresh content. How am I, or anyone else in the freaking world, supposed to know when this happens if you go out of your way to obscure it?
Apparently, I am wrong, but he can offer no semblance of proof as to why I am wrong nor did he care to include these facts in his like 12,000-word blog post. Interestingly, he edited this fact on his website between the time our article was publish and his sending of the letter. Here it is on November 27, 2021 and then again today.
Nice try. However, tampering without own evidence is never a good idea.
This is just a threat that comes dangerously close to extortion. It is also another dead giveaway the letter is fake.
But by all means, have your “lawyer” contact Thai Immigration. I’m sure they are eager to take action against a non-citizen who doesn’t live in their country.
It feels like whoever was sending this email just ran out of steam here. Seriously, no effort has been made whatsoever. Also, slander and libel are both forms of defamation. It is literally impossible to slander, libel and defame someone at the same time. When you copy and paste from the cease and desist letter template, you should edit this part.

Tucker Carlson is a despicable human being and horrible political commentator, but god bless him. You see, he has set the gold standard for defamation excuses. It is not just him. Both Rachel Maddow and renowned women’s basketball fan Don Imus also played their part.
The gist of it is that you can basically make any ridiculous claim you want as long as you present it as entertainment and not fact. Sure, it’s a little more nuanced than that. But asking a dopey pickup artist to understand this is like trying to describe the color blue to a person who has been blind all their life.
