Spoiler Alert. Our Fresno State Bulldog Stadium review is going to feature some Sacramento Valley on San Joaquin Valley violence. This is a California beef you need not worry about. Anyway, Fresno is a weird place. It’s like 10- to 15-years behind the rest of America. The locals still bump Lil’ Jon and they are looking forward to the release of Fast Five. If you search hard enough, you just may find a MacFrugal’s.
The only show in town, apart from a yearly visit from WWE Raw, is Fresno State Athletics. Now, it’s not a bad show. Both football and men’s basketball have had their moments over the past 30 years. The Bulldogs even showed out during the 2002 NBA Draft.
On the gridiron, they are known for the Carr brothers, Davante Adams and occasionally knocking off a Pac-12 team. They aren’t known for having a nice place to call home, however. Apologies in advance for letting my central California-ness shine through, but Fresno State Bulldog Stadium hella sucks.
It’s basically a really big high school bowl stadium. Everything inside is faded after being beat to death by the unrelenting San Joaquin Valley sun. And boy, if you do go, go to a night game because there is nowhere to hide during the day. The sun just blasts you non-stop. Mercury gets more shade than Bulldog Stadium.

It’s time for the one positive in our Fresno State Bulldog Stadium review. There is a lot of parking close to the stadium which makes it possible to get out of there quickly. Plenty of nearby lots offer $20 parking while some of the residential areas nearby let you park on their lawn for $15. You can go from your seat to driving away in less than 15 minutes.
Which is good because there isn’t much inside the stadium apart from a handful of Dippin’ Dots stands. That’s not entirely fair. Bulldog Stadium does have a Dutch Brothers Coffee which is pretty cool. But everything else is meh at best.
That word could be used to describe the atmosphere as well. You get the feeling everyone at the game is just killing time until midnight when they can go out and race their souped-up pickup trucks. That’s not even a joke, by the way. It’s the thing to do in Fresno at night.
Fresno State Bulldog Stadium review: 2.5

You may feel as if our Fresno State Bulldog Stadium review is harsh, but this place hella sucks. There are no redeeming qualities to it. The only reason we don’t score it lower is because you can actually go and watch a college football game in relative peace.
Ultimately, there is no need to see a game at Fresno State unless you are determined to visit every Mountain West stadium or happen to be some weirdo into punishment.
