What we are after here at The Touchback is pretty much the same as with our NFL win-total bets. The key is to find value. That can come in the form of good teams being overlooked, programs with inflated expectations or middling sides being underestimated.

There is unlikely to be any movement on these lines for the time being with fall camps still more than a month away. Things could start changing in early August so make sure to get your bet in before then. Please note, we’re using the lines from Fanduel Sportsbook for our best college football win-total bets in 2021.

The best college football win-total bets in 2021

Ole Miss over 7.5 wins (-110)

Ole Miss managed to win four games in the SEC-only gauntlet of 2020. Lane Kiffin’s second season in Oxford should be even better with quarterback Matt Corral returning along with an underrated rushing attacking. This line seems fairly low when look at the Rebels’ 2021 schedule.

They have an easy non-conference slate with winnable home games against Tulane, Liberty and Austin Peay on deck. There is also a neutral-site matchup versus a Louisville team that wasn’t particularly impressive last season. In SEC play, Ole Miss gets Vanderbilt and Tennessee in crossover matchups. Barring injuries or a total implosion, the Rebels surpassing 7.5 wins is highly likely.

Nebraska under 6 wins (+100)

Nebraska hasn’t won more than five games under Scott Frost and there is no reason for that to change in 2021. The Cornhuskers had several players transfer out without really replacing them. Quarterback also remains a concern with Adrian Martinez a major question mark. Even with non-conference matchups against Buffalo and FCS-program Fordham, it’s hard to see Nebraska reaching six wins.

Miami over 9.5 wins (+125)

We’ve already gone on record saying Miami is our sleeper team to win the 2021 National Championship, so this bet is only logical for us. Apart from a neutral site contest versus Alabama and a trip to Chapel Hill, the Hurricanes have a very friendly schedule that should allow them to reach 10 wins.

Stanford over 4 wins (-110)

Of the best college football win-total bets in 2021, this just may be the safest. Stanford has never won less than four games under David Shaw meaning this line being at four wins seems like the absolute floor. The Cardinal have been one of the most consistent teams over the past decade making it unlikely they will crap out completely and hit the under.

Non-conference matchups against Vanderbilt and Kansas State are winnable while even bad Pac-12 sides can usually muster two victories in conference play. The only concern for Stanford is who will start at quarterback with David Mills moving on. However, the Cardinal always seem to find someone good enough to get them bowl eligible.
