One is pretending to be something they're not and the other is Nathan Lane in drag

Marco Rubio is a fugazi conservative who falls back on the same hypocritical tactics his loser colleagues rely on. The Florida Senator recently wrote a pathetic letter to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred about the Los Angeles Dodgers plan to give a “Community Hero Award” to The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

He moaned about how the group dressed up as nuns because, apparently, he has never heard about how America has freedom of speech that protects satire. Rubio may also want to travel back in time to write similar letters to Saturday Night Live and Nathan Lane.

As difficult as it is to ignore the Republican spitting on one of the Constitution’s most basic tenants, let’s try to move on. Marco Rubio is a fugazi conservative. This letter to Manfred shows he can’t even respect the most basic principles he claims to champion. He is a total fraud.

For starters, companies should be free to do business as they see fit. That is Ronald Reagan 101. It also happens to be the line every conservative rolls out when another right-wing moron refuses to serve someone in the LGBTQ+ community. Why does this not apply to the Dodgers? The team should be able to give out awards to whomever they want to without government interference.

Beyond that, conservatives love to ramble on about how states should be allowed to govern themselves. If the California government is okay with Los Angeles’ event, it should be okay for everyone. Anything else would just be federal government overreach. Republicans wouldn’t want that now, would they?

Better yet, a senator from Florida has no business interjecting in the affairs of any other state. Given how crappy things are down there, you would hope Rubio would have better things to do, such as stopping gun violence or not letting your itty-bitty governor run off the biggest taxpaying entity because he may have secret urges to touch wieners. Hi Josh Hawley.

This incident simply highlights how Marco Rubio is slipping toward irrelevance. He is not insane enough to appeal to Donald Trump’s devoted base of uneducated tools and he’s too far gone to ever be a mainstream centrist.

All he can do is things like complain about what the Dodgers are doing in a desperate attempt to stay in the conversation. The whining, however, goes against so-called Republican ideals. Marco Rubio is a fugazi conservative. It is beyond ironic for him to call out a group dressing up as nuns when he is masquerading as a Republican. No wonder the only state dumb enough to elect him is America’s armpit.
