Let’s start our Reser Stadium review with a few facts. It is not as nice as Oregon’s Autzen Stadium or as picturesque as Washington’s Husky Stadium. However, I’d prefer to go to a game in Corvallis than those other venues because it really is the ideal setting for college football.
For starters, it has a small-town feel that makes college sports special. My favorite thing about Reser Stadium is walking on the field and mingling with players and their families after a game. This is worth the price of admission alone.
That being said, the gameday atmosphere at Oregon State is great as well. The chainsaw and first-down chant are really cool. Fans support their Beavers without being obnoxious or overbearing. The student section is lively while not being total dicks. I’m looking at you U-Dub.
The atmosphere is enhanced by the surroundings. The beautiful Willamette valley surrounds Reser Stadium providing an absolutely stunning backdrop. Just sitting in the upper deck and gazing out over the scenery in the distance is awesome.
Speaking of the upper deck, the sloping is steep enough to ensure a good view no matter where you’re at. And unlike some of the other Pac-12 stadiums, there aren’t any massive sections that extend forever or major bowls to navigate.
On the downside, you are screwed if it rains. There is a small covering above the 50-yard line seats, but this won’t offer much protection. While OSU fans don’t mind the wet weather, you may want to invest in one of those plastic ponchos if you come from out of town.

There is a massive Oregon State team store by the entrance of Beaver Stadium that has just about anything you could want. I was personally impressed by their selection of magnets, keychains and other small trinkets.
Parking around the stadium is plentiful as the college has a ton of lots. The cheapest option we found was $20 and it was not all that far from the main gate. Traffic is slightly annoying, especially on the way out, but isn’t unbearable.
Food trucks and a quasi-pep rally zone are situated near the stadium entrance by the team store. There is also quite a bit of tailgating all around. Once inside, you will find some cool local options in addition to other traditional stadium fare. However, avoid the in-stadium Dutch Bros. which are not serving up the same drinks you’ll find at their famed kiosks.
Reser Stadium review score: 10

Reser Stadium provides the ideal college football experience. It’s a fantastic venue in a beautiful part of the world with great fans and a fun atmosphere. There is nothing more you could ask for.
Pictures don’t do the stadium justice. Oregon State and Corvallis just have a vibe. So, while Reser Stadium may not objectively be the best venue in the Pac-12, it can’t be beaten when you factor in the entire experience. This is a place all college football followers need to watch a game from at least once.
