There is nothing better than getting an NFL player to do a Cameo for your fantasy football league. It’s a great way to kickoff the season, celebrate a championship or just talk trash in general. Personally, the season opener video is the best option as commissioner because it usually gets everyone to pay faster.

If you don’t know what Cameo, you’re really missing out. It’s a website where celebrities make personalized videos for you. The bulk of those on the site are good about fulfilling request and a few, such as Chris Hansen from Dateline NBC, go above and beyond. Then there are people like Tom Arnold who do like five minutes that are painful to watch.

Anyway, finding an NFL player to do your Cameo isn’t always easy. Part of that is due to the awful navigation system the website uses. The search function seems like it was designed by a baby and makes it impossible to narrow down your search. It’s seems like the only person I see is Gilbert Gottfried.

There is some good news. The Touchback has done all the hard work searching for you. We’ve found the most affordable NFL players on Cameo for your fantasy football league video. You may even be surprised how cheap these are. No one on this list cost more than 30 bucks.

5 affordable NFL players on Cameo for your fantasy football league video

The bargain bin

JD McKissic – $15

It’s not exciting, but most of the people in your league will have at least heard of JD McKissic. If you’re in a PPR league, someone may have even started him in 2019. His videos are good, and you won’t find a more well-known player for under 20 dollars.

The fakeout

Lamar Jackson – $20

You’re the commissioner and you tell everyone that you got Lamar Jackson to do a Cameo. You build it up for a week before sharing the video. And then they hear, “Hey, this is Lamar Jackson of the New York Jets.” It’s a pretty epic bait and switch. Also, there is a Lamar Jackson on the New York Jets who plays cornerback so that’s something to pocket if you’re in an IDP league and enjoy sending dodgy trades.

Kickers are players too

Greg Joseph – $30

Daniel Carlson – $20

As you can see in the video, I picked Greg Joseph to do a Cameo for one of my fantasy football leagues last year. And it was great. He owns a Shiba Inu, which is the best dog breed. He also played in the AFC Championship game last season.

Daniel Carlson’s Cameo videos are kind of long which is great considering he’s only 20 bucks to book. Both Carlson and Joseph are likely to score more fantasy points in 2020 than anyone else on this list so at least you’re getting a player who other teams can draft and start.

The handcuff

Ryquell Armstead – $25

We are one Leonard Fournette injury away from Ryquell Armstead being a fantasy football contributor. More importantly, Armstead does some awesome Cameo videos. My favorite is the one where he’s filming while in a virtual position meeting for Jaguars running backs. That’s pretty awesome.

The best bet

Justin Jackson – $20

Firstly, Justin Jackson seems sincere in his Cameo videos which is cool. More importantly, he is a good player who looks set to be a fantasy football contributor for the Los Angeles Chargers this season. And Jackson is a Bernie Sanders guy. What’s not to like? The price at 20 dollars is an absolutely bargain.
