Hey look, it is our college football week 12 parlay. Yes, we have been pretty lax this season, mainly due to actually attending and betting on games as opposed to just writing about wagers. Auburn fans are still pissed at us, by the way.

But I digress. The season is almost over which feels wild. It was just yesterday that USC was trying to overcome San Jose State, and we incorrectly thought Navy had a chance against Notre Dame. Let’s not focus on the past. Here is The Touchback’s college football week 12 parlay.

The Touchback’s college football week 12 parlay

Game 1

Louisville Cardinals at Miami Hurricanes

The pick: Louisville -1 (-110)

Louisville continues to be disrespected by just about everyone, including oddsmakers. Exactly what they see in Miami here is a mystery. Tyler Van Dyke is back at starting quarterback after a season-ending injury to Emory Williams last week. Just a reminder, Van Dyke has thrown six interceptions and no touchdowns in his last three appearances.

As for the Cardinals, they had an awful loss to Pitt but have looked good outside of that fluke result. This seems like a no-brainer pick.

Game 2

Appalachian State Mountaineers vs. James Madison Dukes

The pick: Appalachian State to win (+260)

One week after Appalachian State hosted College Gameday last season, they were upset by James Madison at home. This basically derailed their season. With the Dukes hosting Lee Corso and friends, it’s safe to say the Mountaineers want to return the favor.

Don’t let App State’s 6-4 record fool you, this is a solid team. All four losses were by a touchdown or less, including a double-overtime heartbreaker to North Carolina. James Madison is good but the difference between the two sides isn’t as significant as their records imply.

Game 3

Washington Huskies at Oregon State Beavers

The pick: Washington to win (+115)

Oregon State is a very talented college football team. But they have struggled against sides who can spread the ball around and air it out. That is precisely what Washington does well. This should be a close game, as all Huskies games have been the past few weeks, but you must take them as an underdog here.

Game 4

Kentucky Wildcats at South Carolina Gamecocks

The pick: South Carolina to win (+105)

This is an odd contest featuring two teams that have won the games they were supposed to win and lost against better sides. The big difference here is that Kentucky is coming off a brutal encounter against Alabama while South Carolina has enjoyed strolls in the park against Jacksonville State and Vanderbilt. That, plus being a home underdog, makes South Carolina the pick.

The payoff

Our college football week 12 parlay features odds of +2930. That means if you bet $10, you would win $290.30.
