So, we were wrong about Washington and their awful offense. However, we still nailed two other upsets (Iowa and Mississippi State) so it wasn’t a total loss. Our college football week 3 parlay looks to hit it big once more, although history says we are better off betting on the games individually.
However, what fun is that? Sports betting for us is all about going big. We’ll save the dink and dunk, gamemanager-style wagering for others. Alex Smith was never fun to watch. So be it if we lose five or ten dollars. We would have wasted that money anyway.
That brings us to our college football week 3 parlay. We are including four games this time around with the payout of a $10 wager being more than $200. Odds via Fanduel Sportsbook.

The Touchback’s College Football Week 3 Parlay
Virginia Tech (+122) at West Virginia
Everything we have seen from both of these teams so far in 2021 shows that Virginia Tech is better than West Virginia. And while the Mountaineers are home, that isn’t enough to stop us from taking the Hokies on the moneyline this week. The fact they are at +122 is a great value and a beautiful start to the parlay.
Florida State (+172) at Wake Forest
Wake Forest is 2-0, but those victories came against Old Dominion and Norfolk State. You probably know Florida State’s story at this point. This basically feels like a make or break game for Mike Norvell in Tallahassee. If he loses this weekend to the Demon Deacons, it’s hard to see him surviving the season. However, the Seminoles are more talented than their opponent and that plus the favorable odds here are worth including them in the parlay.
Colorado State +14.5 (-112) at Toledo
Colorado State is one of the worst teams in college football having already contrived to lose to both an FCS school and Vanderbilt at home. On the other hand, Toledo almost upset Notre Dame last week. The Rockets most likely win this game but doing so by two touchdowns is seems like a stretch. Especially considering the Rams defense looked improved in their last game.
Virginia +8.5 (-108) at North Carolina
Virginia has actually won the past four meetings against North Carolina outright. This contest shapes up nicely for them as well, although we’re taking the points in our parlay. Here’s the story, North Carolina lacks offensive weapons which is negating Sam Howell’s talent. Meanwhile, Virginia has a strong defense and should be able to copy what Virginia Tech did to slow down the Tar Heels.

Parlay Total: Bet $10 to win $210.03
We don’t love the fact that all four picks in our parlay are on the road. But that is what presented us with the best value for our college football week 3 parlay. And you can’t argue with the payout.
