The Touchback’s NFL week 16 parlay

A week after ruining our parlay, we are trusting the Lions to make amends by winning

Like just about everyone else in the football betting world last week, we were screwed by the Arizona Cardinals. Three of our parlay bets hit. However, Kyler Murray and company were completely overwhelmed by the lowly Detroit Lions which meant we didn’t close the deal. Nothing we can do now but look ahead to an NFL week 16 parlay.

Much like last week, COVID-19 issues are creating chaos throughout the league. Our focus once again is on matchups that are currently scheduled for Sunday. This, of course, could change as the week progresses which may dramatically alter odds.

However, we don’t have that kind of patience. Let’s get to The Touchback’s NFL week 16 parlay. Odds via Fanduel Sportsbook.

The Touchback’s NFL week 16 parlay

Detroit Lions (+220) at Atlanta Falcons

This isn’t an overreaction to the Lions victory in week 15. The key to this matchup is what’s happening on the field. Detroit doesn’t have a lot of talent, but they are still fighting, On the other hand, the Falcons haven’t looked threatening all season despite being 6-8. Atlanta is also terrible at home (1-5) which puts a Lions upset in play here.

Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets (-104)

No one is saying this game will be entertaining, but it is worth wagering on if you can get the New York Jets as a home underdog. Seriously, Jacksonville has lost to the Texans twice by a combined 30 points while the Jets beat Houston.

Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks (-295)

The Chicago Bears offense looked lost against a Vikings defense that hadn’t stopped anyone in weeks. Now they go up against a Seattle Seahawks defense that has been surprisingly stout. I wouldn’t take Seattle plus the points because the winner could easily finish under 20, but Russell Wilson seems likely to get the win at home.

Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals -3 (-104)

There may be some trepidation about taking the Cincinnati Bengals and the points, but the Ravens appear to be a team close to falling apart. It doesn’t matter who plays quarterback for Baltimore, this just feels like a bad matchup for them. Especially considering they got plucked by the Bengals 41-17 at home earlier in the season.

Parlay Total: Bet $10 to win $154.86

You may not be into that Lions pick, and we get it, but this is a nice parlay with three home teams.
