NFL Week 1 parlay
This will be an awful game to watch, but you should still bet on it

There is nothing quite like a way too early NFL week 1 parlay. Oddsmakers are eager to publish lines, but they aren’t quite accurate just yet. Part of that is due to a lack of effort. So much can happen between now and the start of the regular season. It doesn’t make a lot of sense for them to do anything other than get something live.

As we just saw with the WNBA All-Star Game betting fiasco, sportsbooks aren’t always focused when throwing out early lines. That’s why we are putting some money down on a way too early NFL week 1 parlay. There are bargains to be had now that won’t be available next month. Here is what we like. The Touchback’s way too early NFL Week 1 parlay

Philadelphia Eagles (+160) at Atlanta Falcons

This is a game of two bad football teams that aren’t separated by much in terms of talent. However, the Philadelphia Eagles are at +160 which seems crazy. Sure, Jalen Hurts and company are on the road, but that doesn’t justify them being such a heavy underdog here. Vegas must be extremely bullish on Mike Davis.

We’ve mentioned this in the past, but it bears repeating once again. Always bet on coin flip games like this if there is a discrepancy in the odds. We would avoid the Eagles at +120 or less, but this is a great start to our way too early NFL week 1 parlay.

Seattle Seahawks (+112) at Indianapolis Colts

Betting against Carson Wentz seems like the smart thing to do. His middling cast of wide receivers makes it all the more appealing. Maybe he turns it around this season with Indianapolis. But there is no reason to wager on it happening here.

There are obviously some uncertainties surrounding the Seattle Seahawks especially as it relates to new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron. However, there is still a lot of talent on that side of the ball and while the Colts are good, they probably aren’t on Seattle’s level.

Houston Texans (+124) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

This is one of those NFL games you hate betting on but is hard to pass up. Let’s assume Tyrod Taylor starts the season opener for the Houston Texans. That doesn’t really deter me from putting this in our way too early NFL week 1 parlay. Simply put, these are two awful teams.

That was also the case last season when the Texans swept the Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence may be good, but he’s not good enough to make Jacksonville a favorite. Go with the home underdog in what amounts to a 50/50 game.

Parlay of the Day: Bet $10 to win $113.47

The Touchback’s a way too early NFL week 1 parlay is the kind of payout we love. Look, we could eat a loss on all three of these games. But these aren’t longshot dart throws by any means. You can make a strong case for each underdog winning. And that’s all we ask for.
