2 interesting NFL season special bets

Most Regular Season Passing Yards: Dak Prescott (+500)

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was on pace to shatter the single season passing yards record in 2020 through five games. Of course, he was hurt in that fifth contest derailing those prospects. There is no reason to think he won’t be throwing the ball a lot upon his return from ankle injury.

The NFL is all about the forward pass and there are six or seven quarterbacks who could realistically lead the league in passing yards. But given the Cowboys offense under Mike McCarthy, Prescott at +500 is an incredibly interesting wager.

Most Regular Season Receiving Yards: Davante Adams (+1300)

The risk with Davante Adams leading the NFL in receiving yards is that Aaron Rodgers leaves town. The Green Bay Packers with Jordan Love at quarterback make this bet worthless. But that has been baked into the odds. The upside here is obviously quite good.

Adams will get roughly 150 targets if healthy which is a great start. Last season, he recorded 1,374 receiving yards in 14 games. Had he played in all 16 contests in 2020 and maintained his 98.1 receiving yards per game average, Rodgers’ favorite target would have finished the year as number one in the category. This is an interesting bet to say the least.
