Who is Tyler Huntley?
Tyler Huntley is currently Lamar Jackson’s backup in Baltimore, having convincingly leapfrogged Trace McSorley.
He played quarterback for the Utah Utes in college even making first-team All-Pac-12 in 2019. Sadly, his time in college was hampered by injury, and he went undrafted in 2020. The Ravens picked him up in the offseason.
Interestingly, Huntley and Lamar Jackson played against each other during high school in Florida. Huntley won the game, and he and Lamar have remained friends ever since.
A Preseason game from which legends are born

In the third game of the 2021 preseason, Tyler Huntley had one of the greatest NFL preseason performances of all time. In a preseason full of exciting young quarterbacks, Huntley genuinely looked as skilled as any of them.
He spent most of the game dancing in the endzone after scoring five total touchdowns, four in the air and one rushing.
Huntley went 24/33 for 285 yards with a QB rating of 138.3 while not being sacked.

Currently, Tyler Huntley is on a one-year, US$780k contract with the Baltimore Ravens. After this performance, the Ravens will no doubt be fielding phone calls from NFL teams in the market for a quarterback.
While they might be wise to hold-on to Huntley for this season, the Ravens will eventually get an offer that is hard to refuse. And after that trade, Huntley will be a starter in this league for a long time.
